Nowadays Autonomous navigation is evolving rapidly in the field of robotics, electric vehicles and other sensor-based machines. This paper presents the design and the implementation of the Lidar and GPS based autonomous navigation system using Pixhawk controller for an electric ground rover. This platform integrates the multiple control modes including remote control by transmitter and receiver, mobile-based control by using ESP32 with QGroundControl, and the autonomous waypoint navigation by using the Mission Planner for the auto mode driving. Here a LiDAR sensor is used for the purpose of real-time obstacle detection in order to avoid them, while the GPS ensures the accurate positioning of the path travelled by the rover and as well as the real-time position of the system. The proposed system will demonstrate the reliable navigation, flexible contr4ol mechanisms, and efficient obstacle avoidance in both the manual and autonomous modes. The results highlight the effectiveness of integrating the sensors GPS and LiDAR technologies for intelligent vehicle navigation.
