Abstract

Wireless Sensor Networks can be implemented over extensive coverage areas and carry out the data aggregation process through various techniques. The performance of the network is influenced by these processes, and the mobility of sensors also imposes limitations. Numerous researchers have tackled this problem and devised different solutions to address it. This paper will present a mobile sink data aggregation method and evaluate its effectiveness using different protocols, such as LEACH and TEEN, within the limitations of a scalable network. Based on the analysis conducted through simulations, it is evident that the proposed scheme utilizing the TEEN protocol has improved the overall performance of the network when compared to LEACH. This enhancement is reflected in optimal energy usage and a longer network lifespan, as a greater number of nodes remain alive while accommodating the mobile sink’s movement across inner and outer zones
